Letter to Frazier Families - April 4, 2020
April 4, 2020

Dear Frazier Preparatory Academy Parents and Guardians,

Thank you for working with teachers so that learning continues for all Frazier Preparatory Academy students.  Our work as partners will ensure that all scholars will make academic growth while learning takes place at home.  School leadership is currently working to provide a plan for remote learning that will be in effect beginning Monday, April 13, 2020.  The plan will be similar to what has been in place since school closed on March 17thand will continue with instruction and learning activities being provided by our teachers.  Information about resources to support remote learning will be shared via School Messenger and on our website on Friday, April 10, 2020.  It should be noted that teachers will continue to serve as the primary contact regarding the educational program for students.

Please be aware that the week of April 6this Spring Break and school will be not be in session.  We urge you to take time each day to focus on learning with the goal of reading at least thirty minutes per day.  During this period, the Herzl facility will be open as a “Grab and Go” meal site. Meals are available during spring break, Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Additional information about the availability of meals can be found at cps.edu/mealsites.

Please be sure to check the website for regular updates at www.frazierprepacademy.org.  Updates will be posted under the highlights section on the landing page.  School Messenger will also be used to provide school-wide updates.  Any changes to your contact information should be sent to dtignanelli@frazierprepacademy.orgfor School Messenger updates.

Illinois School Report Card
Frazier's annual School Report Card was released on October 30, 2019.  The Report Card shows how well our school is progressing on a wide range of educational goals.  We are extremely proud of our students' growth in reading and mathematics when comparing achievement from 2018 to 2019 on the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR).
One component of the School Report Card is the summative designation - a descriptor of how well our school is meeting the needs of all students.  Our rating is based on eight indicators of academic success and school quality.  Our designation of Commendable means that Frazier Preparatory Academy made outstanding progress in just one school year.
Congratulations to all Frazier Preparatory Academy students, staff, parents and guardians for a job well done!
