FPA Highlights

Frazier Prep Families,

It is extremely important that you identify a school option for the upcoming school year by June 30th!

As a reminder, the GoCPS Elementary School (ES) Round 2 application process will open on June 1st and close on June 5th. This process is for families who were unable to submit an ES application in Round I or still need to identify a school for the 20-21 school year. To apply, visit go.cps.edu  beginning June 1!

The second round consists only of schools/programs that still have seats available in grades K-7. If you have not already opened a GoCPS account, you must have your student's School ID number on hand. If you do not know your student's CPS ID number, please contact us or iandioperations@cps.edu ASAP.

If you have any questions, please visit go.cps.edu for additional details regarding the GoCPS ES Round 2 Application Process. Questions should be directed to the Office of Access and Enrollment via email at gocps@cps.edu or by calling 773-553-2060.

Sincerely,

F. Williams–Harvey, Director                                                     C. Roldan, Director

Remote Learning Update

April 21, 2020

Dear Frazier Preparatory Academy Families,

Thank you for your continued support of Frazier Preparatory Academy and your dedication to helping scholars to continue to make academic growth while learning takes place at home.  Your partnership with teachers and instructional staff will ensure that students remain connected to school during this unprecedented time. As we move forward, please be aware of the following:

Communication - The teacher remains the first point of contact for all questions relating to the remote learning plan that is currently in place.  Teachers are using the same technology platforms that have been in place since March 17th. These platforms are Class Dojo or Google Classroom.  They are used for communication and for posting of classroom assignments.

Student Schedules - Students should make every attempt to attend scheduled meetings and complete assignments on Class Dojo or Google Classroom.  If unable to attend a scheduled meeting, students should check in daily with their teacher.

RingCentral - RingCentral is to be used for meetings/lessons only.  Students do not need to download the app. Teachers will send out the links for the scheduled meetings via their usual mode of communication: email, ClassDojo, Google Classroom.

Packets - Classroom assignment packets are available Monday-Wednesday 10am – 12:45pm.

Devices - If you have not picked up a device yet, please pick it up by Wednesday, April 22nd (by appointment only).  Our goal is to provide a second device for families with multiple students. Please call 872-201-8969 to make an appointment.

Flexibility - The schedules in the remote learning plan are “the goal.”  The remote learning plan resembles an eLearning model that we have not attained due to the digital/resource divide we are experiencing.

Your help and support is sincerely appreciated as we work to meet the needs of ALL Frazier Preparatory Academy students.  Please know that your help is vital to this process. Please be encouraged that by working together we will ensure that student growth in achievement will continue to take place.

Sincerely,

Ms. Williams-Harvey                                               Director Ms. Roldan, Director
