Dear Parent(s) and Guardian(s),
Frazier Preparatory Academy wants to thank all of the parents, guardians, and family members who came out to support students and staff for Paragon night. The students did a great job showcasing what they learned in their Paragon study of African American History. We are very proud of our students and work that staff members contributed during lunch and after school to ensure that the event was a success.
ISAT testing begins on Monday, March 3rd and will go through March 14th. It is very important that your child (ren) be on time for school and attends school every day. This past week I have reviewed student progress reports and saw that many students have missing assignments which is negatively affecting their grade. Please understand that Chicago Public Schools mandates that students must show growth on their NWEA assessment and have a minimum grade of “C” in reading and mathematics in grades 3, 6, and 8 in order to move to the next grade. Students who do not meet these requirements must pass summer school or be retained in their present grade. Teachers are sending home weekly progress reports in their Thursday folder. Please check these progress reports every Thursday and contact the teacher if you have questions or need additional information.
Beginning the week of March 10th, I will be having a weekly detention for students who are not able to follow classroom rules or complete classwork or homework. The detentions will be held on Wednesdays. Any student that is required to serve more than three detentions may face additional loss of privilege up to possible suspension. Please help to support the high expectations that make Frazier Preparatory Academy a great place to learn and grow for all students.
Please feel free to contact the main office by calling 773-534-6776 should you have questions or need additional information.
